◎简介：
天生赛车手的“骇速”（艾米尔贺许 饰），自小就对速度与赛车充满热情，不管是无趣的课堂还是公园，骇速总能在想像中找到最完美的赛道，享受奔驰的快乐。他的偶像就是拥有高超技术的大哥，屡破纪录的传奇赛车手“雷克斯”。
他的个性积极进取、直觉敏锐，最重要的是他毫无所惧，很快的便代替于比赛中意外身亡的哥哥，驾驶赛车“马赫5”（Mach 5）在比赛中所向披靡，支撑起由父亲“骇速老爹”（约翰古德曼 饰）经营的自家赛车事业。
骇速表现的出色，但也引来大企业的注意，大企业老板“罗伊顿”（罗杰艾伦 饰）马上提供骇速了一项优渥的合作计划，但却被骇速一家拒绝了。骇速这种大胆的举动不仅令气势凌人的罗伊顿大为震怒，还揭露了一个可怕的秘密──所有的大规模赛事都被*控了，他们不断借*纵赛车比赛来谋取非法利益。
不愿加入罗伊顿旗下的骇速一家，立刻就遭到罗伊顿的报复，车队的名誉被恶意中伤，骇速更在比赛中遭到其他参赛者的攻击，几乎无法跑完全程。
此时，神秘面具赛车手“雷速X”（马修福克斯饰）带著探员前来拜访骇速，希望他与行家车行赛车手“天速”合作，一起挑战夺去他大哥性命的“基督之家大赛”，也就是被称为“严酷考验”（The Crucible）的超高难度越野比赛，以挽救天速家的声誉，并获得罗伊顿的罪证。
为了挽救自家的赛车事业，以及坚持自己热爱的赛车运动，骇速在家人及挚爱女友“崔西”（克莉丝汀娜蕾茜 饰）的全力支持下，挑战“基督之家大赛”与赛车界最大盛事──世界赛车联盟主办的“长距大奖赛”。不过，在这场比赛中，骇速若是想要赢得胜利，他就必须超越全世界最优秀但也最残暴的几位强敌，加上罗伊顿悬赏一百万元美金给能够干掉骇速的选手，使得这场比赛处处充满危机...。
电影改编自《科学小飞侠》作者吉田龙夫的作品“马赫GoGoGo”，叙述赛车手Speed Racer与其爱车马赫5不断挑战极限的故事，其他主要角色包括“骇速老爹”（pops Racer）、“骇速老妈”（Mom Racer）、弟弟史四托（Spritle）、宠物猩猩（Chim Chim）以及强大的对手雷速X等，演员包括了“Lost档案”的马修福克斯，真田广之与天王Rain。
