这部首度将佛朗明哥歌舞剧搬上大银幕的电影，导演艾维罗·贝金斯(Alvaro Begines)在八九零年代曾是西班牙家喻户晓乐团No me pises que llevo Chanclas一员，《偷窥糗事》是他指导的第三部作品，也是第一部长片，才华洋溢的他还撰写本片的剧本。热爱音乐的他在本片中，找来善于将拉丁舞蹈元素融入流行音乐的奇哥（Queco）担任编曲，并邀请佛朗明哥舞蹈音乐界艺人托玛席多（Tomasito）在片中热舞，剧中好几首西班牙流行曲则找来西班牙顶尖女声卡门·琳娜瑞（Carmen Linares）跨刀。导演在受访时表示最艰难的地方在于每一首歌要找对演员演绎，而歌曲感觉对了后，更要巧妙融入剧情，并保留原本佛朗明哥的风味。
【嬉过客文化 Squatting Culture】
《偷窥糗事》这部三个女人与一个男人的公路电影，他们在路上寻找逝去的青春、失去的自我与混沌的未来，故事主轴除了围绕在这一家子上，还围绕着一群成日无所事事的年轻小伙子打转。他们平日最大的消遣是唱歌跳舞，看到废弃空屋便据为己有，直到被警察驱逐或起身前往下个城市为止。电影这群年轻人在现实生活中正有其对照，被称为‘嬉过客 Squatters’。
当一国迈向开发中国家，主要城市周围便渐渐形成贫民窟，他们没水没电，甚至偷接电视线苦中作乐，日后贫民窟逐渐消失，原本的危楼便成为年轻人眼中的天堂乐园，他们非法进驻、侵占空屋，形成一种特有群体运动（Squatting）。这些看似无生活目标的嬉过客，有些抱持无政府主义、具有环保意识、反自由市场、抵抗资本主义和剥削性体制，甚至在国际间拥有相互认同的标记传递，现已发展成各国独有次文化。嬉过客兴盛的国家有荷兰、西班牙、英国和美国，在西语系国家尤其蓬勃，阿根廷有部受欢迎的电视剧即是描述这些人的生活方式。
英国著名的无政府主义者Colin Ward曾提到："入住空屋（Squatting）是这世界最古老的住屋行为，而我们就是这原始意念的子民。女皇拥有十七万六千英亩土地，54%英国居民拥有自己的房子，然而我们都同样是土地侵占者。将土地当成消费行为早已违反了大自然法规。"
因此，导演便安排了嬉过客们一开始便被警察突袭驱赶的场面，而女主角爱上的便是嘻哈客的一员，反映出结构严谨看似完美的社会下，所包含的各种文化现象。这些被贴上特异标签的嘻哈客成了社会边缘的一族，除了强占空屋闹事玩乐或特定理念，其实部份的他们从小就未和父母谋面，他们和平凡人一样渴望亲情温暖，走在边缘上的他们迫于无奈生活着，却也回不了头。电影开头和结尾都问到：‘苍蝇为什么要搓脚？’最后男主角兀自在海边回答，也替影中这批年轻的嬉过客留下深思回味的注解。
