[color=]剧情简介：
　　威廉·兰尼曾是一个臭名远扬，无恶不作的盗贼和杀人犯。但自从他与漂亮的克劳迪娅结婚并生下两个孩子之后，他决定弃恶从善，过正常人的生活。不久他的妻子病逝，他满怀悲哀地带着两个孩子到堪萨斯郊外经营养猪场，用自己的辛勤劳动把孩子抚养成 人。
[color=]两个牛仔在怀俄明州的酒吧闹事，其中一人用刀划伤了妓女的脸。妓院老板恨不得吊死两个牛仔，但警长“小比尔”达格特只让他们陪了七匹马就草草了事。众妓女愤怒难平，集资悬赏一千元，找人杀死两个牛仔。

[color=]“斯科菲尔德小子”来找兰尼一起去揭榜。开始兰尼因答应过妻子不再涉足江湖，不想再卷入罪恶的勾当。可是为了能使年幼的子女过上富裕的生活，告别杀手生涯11年的兰尼决定重*旧业，参与这次追杀行动。“斯科菲尔德小子”、兰尼以及兰尼的老搭档内德·洛根一起追至大峡谷，结果了两个牛仔的性命。然而不幸的是洛根却被“小比尔”达格特的手下抓去，并被他们折磨至死。

[color=]兰尼看到洛根被暴尸酒吧间外，愤怒至极。他杀死了“小比尔”达格特为他的朋友报仇。临走时他向“小比尔”的手下发出了警告：“谁要是开枪射我，我就要杀光他的亲人朋友，烧掉他们的房屋财产。你们最好不要给妓女毁容，不要伤害她们，否则我会回来把你们逐个杀光。”
