◎简　　介　
川野俊郎（笕利夫饰），现年44岁，在福冈市某商社工作。他和同事有美（清水美砂饰）一直保持着若即若离的关系，多年来，两人始终没有勇气再进一步。
有一天，突降大雨，俊郎冲进一家便利店避雨。年轻的收银员花铃（铃木圣奈饰）哼唱着《二十二岁的分别》，引起了俊郎的注意。两人就此相识。花铃突然辞去了便利店的工作，提出要和俊郎进行援助交际。俊郎吓了一跳，但又实在放心不下花铃，便把她带回了家。
在俊郎家里，花铃述说了自己的身世。俊郎惊喜地发现，花铃竟然是昔日恋人叶子（中村美玲饰）的女儿。在俊郎22岁生日之际，叶子和他分手，而花铃今年也正好22岁。
俊郎默默地回顾22年前的爱情，思考自己与花铃的将来。这天正值大分的传统节日，又是叶子的忌日和花铃的生日，俊郎登上了山坡，去寻找红色的彼岸花——这是叶子和花铃最喜爱的花……
